Former car wash destroyed
CONNELLSVILLE TWP. – A Monday afternoon fire destroyed a former car wash, leaving nothing but charred rubble at the Route 119 location. Firefighter dies battling blaze at downtown restaurant
A Chicago firefighter who died this morning after falling about 35 feet from a fire escape while battling a blaze at a downtown restaurant was hailed as a “step-up guy” who brought enthusiasm and fun to the firehouse. Christopher Wheatley, 31, died at Stroger Hospital after doctors there tried to save his life following his fall, which happened at about 12:30 a.m.
