Mama Fluff successfully hatched 11 eggs. The chicks are 2-3 days old right now. They were born up in the hen house and are doing very well. However, mama came down the climbing ladder today and the chicks could not follow. It was too steep and the grips were too high for them to get over. Should I leave the ladder as is and will the babies just stay away. What should the angle be and what is the safest for the baby chicks? I don’t want to worry about them breaking legs or worse falling and snapping their little necks. We only have mama, 11 babies and a sister hen that is doing very well with the babies so we are not separating them from each other. I just really need help with the ladder idea.
