I am struggling to lose my pregnancy weight gain. I am more disciplined and eating more healthily than I ever have in my life, and am exercising moderately ( and with 4 kids am definitely not doing a lot of sitting around). It seems like it takes me a week to lose half to one pound, which is fine with me, except that if I splurge a little on the weekend I can actually gain 3 pounds in one day! I know its not fat, but its so frustrating. I can lose the 3 pounds in a few days and then lose about half a pound more after that if I work real hard, but I feel like I’m playing chutes and ladders.
I have a minor yeast infection now, and I have had extreme fatigue upon waking up in the morning for a long time now. Also, my upper abdomen seems a little hard and distended- like its big, but not just from fat.
Could this be from a systemic yeast overgrowth? If it is, and I am still nursing, how should I fix it?
Also, I just took 150 of diflucan one time dose for the vag yeast infection, and i’m worried that it won’t help if i have a systemic overgrowth. should i ask the doc for more?
I am nursing around the clock- my baby is 5 months old, I’m still his only food.

that pill should have taken away the yeast infection. no your weight issues are not from the yeast infection. it takes time for out bodies to adjust especially when we are past our 20′s.

Yes, it sounds like candida. And yes, candida can be a cause of overweight. Yeast is a living organism that feeds off certain nutrients, and it “gets hungry” for those nutrients, causing you to overeat certain foods, upsetting the natural balance in the intestines, and create cravings to feed the yeast.

This woman has cured candida with diet (yeast feeds on certain foods, and must be “starved out”) She has helped thousands of people overcome horrible yeast problems when doctors and medicines fail to get rid of the underlying cause.
Her program will also help you lose the extra weight even faster.
She also has an online support group, and will personally answer any questions you have.

Yeast overgrowth happens when you have a bunch of progesterone in your system. Do not take any estrogen btw. Are you regularly breastfeeding? That is the best way to lower progesterone.
